Steam is an effective and gentle method for cleaning conveyor belts in both the food industry and other production environments. The hot steam loosens and dissolves dirt, grease, and bacteria without the use of chemicals. It penetrates hard-to-reach areas, helping to prevent the buildup of bacteria in corners, gaps, and similar spaces.
Steam at temperatures of 125-150°C has proven to be particularly effective in combating biofilm. It enables thorough and efficient cleaning of even difficult-to-access areas without the need to dismantle equipment. At the same time, most of the moisture evaporates immediately, allowing the belt to return to service quickly while minimizing the risk of mold or corrosion.
