Optima Steamer is the ideal solution for cleaning and disinfecting wine barrels, generating steam temperatures of up to 177°C. At the nozzle tip, the steam reaches 100-116°C, and when applied under light pressure, even higher surface temperatures can be achieved within seconds.
Optima Steamer can efficiently clean two barrels simultaneously as a standalone cleaning station. In larger wineries, it can also be seamlessly integrated into an automatic barrel washing line, enabling the cleaning of up to four barrels at a time.
The dry steam penetrates deep into the wood surface and its pores, effectively eliminating hidden bacteria through the combined action of heat and moisture. Because saturated steam reaches areas that are difficult to access with hot water or chemical cleaners, it provides a highly effective method for thorough cleaning and disinfection while helping preserve the quality and integrity of the barrel.
